Safety & Contraindications
Class 2b, cautions about excessive use during excessive menstruation. Unapproved by KOM. “Since the effectiveness for the claimed applications is not documented, a therapeutic use of this herb cannot be recommended”. I feel that it can serve in lieu of cardamom, ginger, and/or turmeric because it shares many of the same chemicals with them. In India, it is even recommended for infants and convalescents. Not for use during pregnancy. Class 2b, cautions about excessive use during excessive menstruation.
