Safety & Contraindications

Not covered. Toxic to animals. A single seed may intoxicate a child; symptoms of intoxication include cardiopathy, diarrhea, difficulty in swallowing, double vision, headache, hypocyclosis, prickling sensations in extremities, and salivation. One pod or 10 seeds can be an emetic in adults and should be followed by activated charcoal.
