General Dosage
Dosages — 5 g leaf/500 g water for parasites; 1–1.9 g root for parasites; 1–2 g powdered root; 1–2 g powdered fruit; 56–112 ml bark decoction; 56–112 ml leaf decoction; 56–112 ml root bark decoction; 4–12 ml tincture; 28–84 ml flower tea; 4–10 minims oil.
Safety & Contraindications
Contraindications, Interactions, and Side Effects — Class 3. Not covered. Fatality reported in a child who ate the berries. Six to eight seeds said to cause choleraic symptoms, nausea, and spasm, sometimes followed by death. LD50 = 250 mg/kg ipr mouse.
