General Dosage
1–2 tsp fresh herb; 0.5–1 g dry herb; 2–4 g dry herb; 1–2 tsp dry herb/cup water up to 3 ×/day; 2 tsp herb/cup water to 3 ×/day; 10 tsp herb/liter, 2–3 cups/day; 0.5–1 tsp tincture up to 3 ×/day; 5 ml tincture 3 ×/day.
Safety & Contraindications
Class 2b. “Hazards and/or side effects not known for proper therapeutic dosages”. Emmenagogues should be avoided in pregnancy. As a mild uterine stimulant, avoid in pregnancy. An important source of the COX-2-Inhibitor, ursolic-acid.
