General Dosage
100–300 mg bark; 2–4 ml, 1:1 fluid extract; capsules 95 mg bark, 500 mg, 3500 mg; 1:1 Fluid Extract; 2–4 ml liquid bark extract; 0.3–0.5 g dry bark extract.
Safety & Contraindications
Class 1. Large doses mildly laxative, contraindicated in pregnancy. None known or listed. “Hazards and/or side effects not known for proper therapeutic dosages”. Our best source of dietary serotonin, quickly broken down in the gut. The combination of tannin with all its pesticidal activities and juglone may be pretty potent.
